I have a MSI gaming laptop and I'm planning to upgrade my current snail speed SSD. Can someone recommend me a good SSD for under £100? I don't know how much SSD go for but anything that is good for under £100 or maybe a little over £100?

Thank you. I really appreciate the help 🙂

I got a Samsung 840 Evo and that is decent, yesterday Ebuyer had a sale on a Seagate 480GB SSD for £160, nearly brought one for myself lol.

That's what I'd get, right now.

If space is no concern, for way south of $100, either of these two would be good:

Either series will be pretty fast, and easy on your battery.

BUT...what is your current SSD?
Thank you. The first one you linked I will save for comparison later for sure. I prefer just 1 SSD not 2 🙂

I don't know my Specs right now because I'm afl and i'm on my phone. I will post my specs in 1 hour time. Sorry 🙁

Not sure how to check what SSD or HDD I have but here.

That's not an SSD at all, but a weirdly partitioned HDD, and a quite slow one, at that.

I didn't mean two, but that is 120GB is enough space, more than one good notebook model was fairly cheap.

Ok thanks. I think Ill be getting the SAMSUNG Drive SSD 2.5" SATAIII 6Gb/S 250Gb 840
Is that better than the one you linked above?

Your going to hit yourself for not getting a 250GB or 500GB

Instantly you get a super puter.... gl

Not particularly, unless you're doing lots of bursty writes, such as with content creation programs that wouldn't be acceptable on any HDD.

Oh I see. Nevertheless I just purchased the Samsung EVO 250GB. 🙂
Thanks for the helpxz

off topic - Is that avatar pic from Steins Gate?

The Evo is pretty good. The Pro tends to be too expensive for what it is, unless you really need a long warranty, or fit into its specific performance niche (they're Apple's main drive OEM, and it was very much tuned for professional mac users).
