Olds Intrigue, you should be able to get a '99 or '00 for about 10g's.

or you can get the '98 (because it has the 3.8 Pushrod V6 which should give you more after market parts).

that's why i recommend the '98 (thats what i drive right now), he could probably buy one in good condition for $6k, then put in a supercharger and voila, he will have a 260 hp driver. it will run fast.

Not exactly sure how many aftermarket parts there are for it, but if you wanted to go oldsmobile I'd get an Aurora-- you can get em cheap- ~9K used or less depending on what you get, and they're fairly fast.

I've seen supercharged Grand whatever (the pontiac equivalent), run low-mid 14's at non-ideal conditions. That's nothing to complain about.

A Contour SVT is fairly fast stock, and handles really well stock, but there isnt much potential. They dont respond to mods very well, but you can definetely get one for under 10k and its a sedan.

a DSM would be an easy choice, but I like more practicality..

How about a GTP? Plenty of potential there. '95 Impala SS? LT1 w/ decent miles I bet could be found around $10k

they have a turbo kit too. 380fwhp to the wheels.

Very, very few SC Maximas have 400fwhp, most have around 230fwhp on stock boost and as you increase it goes up, but usually they peak out at about 300fwhp UNLESS you have done some crazy work too it.

However, Maximas love nitrous. I dunno how or why, but the VQ engine responds really well to nitrous oxide.

mid 90s 4.6l thunderbird
RWD and has an IRS. Tons of stuff you can do to a 4.6l since its the same engine thats in a mustang.

Mid 90s Lincoln Mark VIII 4.6l DOHC 280hp bad ass pimping car. Uses the same engine as a mustang cobra so again plenty of mods.
One of the best looking cars ever made atleast IMO

Both are two doors but the back seat is very useable and insurance shouldn't consider them high risk cars.
