I thought about getting some nice dress shirts, some Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, blazers, etc.

However, my thoughts have changed after living in East Asia for about a year
I want to dress young while I can..
the guys in Asia, they dress trendy but in a scrubby way, you know?
hoodies, jeans, and sneakers but in a trendy way
I walked into Banana Republic and some of the other stores.. and the clothes are so boring. American clothes are too conservative

I don't know what to get... I just got a A/X and Cole Haan belts.. a pair of jeans, and some T-shirts from Guess
I don't want Tees... need some other styles of clothing for the top

Go out shopping and look at what you like, try it and buy it! Yes asian guys/ girls dress more 'funky' then your typical American style guys/ girls imo.

Dress in what you feel good in

it is hard to say because there are so many "trends" now for both males and females.
There are some great things to wear that are unique, but you have to go out of your way to find them.

I feel that instead of following a trend, create your own "signature" style. Incorporate the types of clothes you liked from your traveling but also things that you find comfortable and that make you feel confient when you wear them.

The 80's styles are coming back in (i dont know why :disgust: ) so there is a lot of spandex and big hair but there are the current classics like the relaxed fit, worn in jeans and hoodie over a worn blazer...

It is hard for me to advise you beacuse i do not know who you are and what type of person you are, but there are a lot of things out there that are funky and unique.

pretty much all my wardrobe consists of now. its what i'm most comfortable in and my job allows me to wear it every day. around here though, i wouldn't want to wear anything nice because its so damn dirty.

Im not trying to be a cookie cut. The clothes look casual, fashionable, and they're inexpensive.

What do you wear that is sooooo anti-cookie cutter?

In the summer, I wear khaki shorts, polos, old raggy t shirts, and flip flops.

In the winter, I wear jeans and hoodies, and new balances.

Oh, come on; sport your own style - don't support those trendy stores. Dress however you want (and I guess if you want to dress trendy, then you can).

Take a thrift-store adventure!

I wear simlar things but I would never say that they are stylish, edgy or expressive of my personality

It's funny how Zoolander made fun of the "derelict" stlyle before it was even popular.

You look like a tool in your pre-ripped jeans.

ty

Old Navy jeans (I whiskered or faded) that ripped crap is hilarious to me...

club monaco for a slightly formal look, urban outfitters for casual, hugo boss to spice things up, and throw in some guess - their shirts are cool. compliment with pierced ears, trendy necklaces, and a couple of rings. you are accessorized. grab some ed hardy caps if you like them.
