I need a fan for my dorm becasue the AC will be shutdown soon and even when it is on it does not do a very good job. My roommate and I both have 21 inch monitors and with my system idling around 50 to 55 C and his around 40 C. So as you can imagine, it gets pretty warm in our room even with the AC on (which will be shutdown university wide in about 2 weeks). My budget is around 50 to maybe 60 bucks. Do you guys have any suggestions?

I suggest you use your computer as little as possible. As for fans.. all they do is blow around hot air, get one that's big and has a lot of cubic feet/min

Go to home depot and get window fans to suck out that hot air (get a pair, stack them on top of each other :D).

just get a cheap one that fits in the window. then you can have it blow in cool air from outside, or turn it around and have it blow the hot air out of your room (what i do, seems to keep things cool better)

turn off the monitors as much as you can, and the computers too if possible.

Vornado. Or just go find a box fan that might fit in your window (?). That will draw the cooler air from outside into your room here soon.
