good fans for closed loop?

so now that the H220 isnt for sale in the USA my plans have been foiled. i guess ill just get an h100i or the extreme 3.0. but the fans are so loud on them according to all the tests. Are there any stand out replacement fans out there? preferably quieter and cool better. I record a podcast while i play and i dont need absolute silence but any bit quieter than stock is worth my money.

Yate Loons have long had one of the best CFM/noise/price. There are better fans, but not for <$6 each.

They come in Low, Medium and High speed models (L/M/H). If you shop around you may be able to find them cheaper.

Both the Corsair H100i and the thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme have the ability to run the fans at slower speeds.

My rig 2 below uses a Corsair H100 and the fans are loud at full blast but the pump has three options, quiet, balanced and full for fan operation. The ThermalTake Water 2.0 Extreme (I think the 3.0 version is the same) has a software program that allows the fans to run full, silent or custom. I chose a custom setting for rig 1 and it is not that loud at all.

You can add quieter fans but it might affect the cooling capability.

What are your system specs (case, mb, cpu etc)

4770k sabertooth z87 in a fractal R4 Case

4770 will be over clocked so i need fans that can run hard and quiet there are several 35-50 fans online, so they have to be better than the stock fans at both cooling and noise i would assume.

Like, maybe a first fan with a lower CFM would be better than another fan even if that other fan had a higher CFM, because the first fan builds a higher pressure? I dunno, just remember something about that and how the pressure makes more of a difference with radiators or something?

True, but high static pressure fans also tend to be more noisy, not less.

I know my Corsair H100 fans run hard and run up to 2500 rpm. Quiet? No. From what I've read the radiators for most AIO water cooling units are no as good as the custom water cooling radiators. The ThermalTake Water 2.0 Extreme has a larger radiator and does a good job on my 3770k at 4.4Ghz. The 4770k really heats up as you crank up the OC so depending upon your OC you might have to sacrifice some noise for cooling or go the route of custom cooling.

Corsair SP120 fans seems to do the job. They are in 2 flavors: Quiet and High Performance.

I have the H100i with the stock fans. I'm running a 4670k at 4.4ghz @ 1.198v fixed vcore currently.

The fans are pretty quiet until around 1350rpm's or so. Full speed they are very loud.

With my overclock using performance profile I'll hit tjmax on 1 core running Linpack 11. Running Intel Burnt Test lower 80's. AIDA 64 stress test mid-upper 70's. Real life useage testing starts soon. I doubt temps will go above 70's. Would be nice if I can get away with stock fans at 1300rpm or so.

I'm looking for replacement fans currently. I figure I can replace the front single 140mm in my case the the H100's and keep them at 1300 rpm or so.
