I want to spend some money on a nice executive-style office chair. What's a good product for the price?

Your best bet is to go to an office store and sit in the chairs there. Once you find one you like for the price you want, buy it. :)

Got mine from best buy. Was on clearence...retail 160, got it for 85. Sweet deal...go with leather.

This chair is super comfortable. Try one out. It really comes down to personal preference though (style, your body dimensions, what controls you want, etc.) So go to Office Depot or Staples and just sit in a bunch.

the holy trinity of comfortable chairs - be prepared to pay!

Aeron

Humanscale

Leap

get any one of these and consider yourself blessed! they are worth the money they cost ($650-$1400 depending on "options")

they will last forever, and your @ss will be eternally grateful.

The aerons and other "dot-com" chairs are not excutive chairs. Yes, they are supportive, and they prop you forward to do work....but you can't lounge on them. Also if you have a flabby butt, the aeron doesn't allow you to squirm or move properly like you can with a big ol leather chair. Plus lying back is impossible because the materials are firm rather than squishy.
