Good DVD Ripping Software For Windows XP?

I am going to be travelling in the near future, and am picking up a Samsung NC10 netbook before I go. I want to rip some movies to store on the HD so I can watch them on the plane or while I am stuck at airports. I haven't needed to do anything like this for years though, so I have no idea what is current when it comes to software for ripping DVDs. Free software would be great, but if I have to buy it I don't mind, though I would prefer to be able to buy it and download from the company's site since I doubt I will find it in a B&M store locally.

Some others I know are: DVDFab, DVD Shrink and Imtoo DVD Ripper.

Does anybody use AutoGK anymore? Anyway, I've always found the guides on http://www.videohelp.com/ to be really helpful when it comes to things like this.
