Good dual-layer dvd burner?

I have that IO Magic burner. Works well for me. Mine was actually branded as a Benq.
I'm not sure they all are as some may be purchased by IO Magic built by several manfacurers. That price is a bit high. You can find it for about $89 if you look around.

No, it's the brand name. NEC writers perform on par w/ Plextor writers.

Everyone recommends that NEC, i'll say the BenQ DW1620 since it's been great to me :)
That's & i really like how it burns my 8x DVD Rs @ 16x.

I prefer Pioneer or Sony. Never really liked NEC, always had problems way back in the CD-rom days and their Multisync monitor days. I'm sure they are better now (talking years ago) but, like Maxtor, if you fail me too many times I dump ya for a better brand. IMO. :)
