Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan - Most fun I've had on the DS.
Trauma Center
NSMB
Tetris

Yes the firmware is upgradable but your DS Lite probably has the latest.

I'll second Ouendan - it's one of my favorite DS games, second only to Band Brothers (which I highly...highly recommend).

But those are imports...he won't be able to snag them before his trip. On a slightly related note, Elite Beat Agents (the US version of Quendan) should have a demo at the demo stations pretty soon.

Super Mario Brothers: Partners in Time was so fun! 😀

I also played Trace Memory which was fun but didn't last for all too long.

Bumping this back up to update what I said about Mario Hoops above. Fun, yes. But too easy and waaaaaaaay too short. Also, doesn't it seem like the perfect game for internet wifi support? Yea, but there is none. There is local wifi support, but no internet play.

You'd better be hitting perth to have a few beers with me mate 😉

I'd love to, but I'm only going for three weeks and hitting the east coast only... aus is freaking huge! Has to cancel the trip to uluru as it was going to take way too long and cost a packet. I'm hoping to move to aus in a year's time though, so defo then 😉
