Good drink for a pirate-themed party?

For halloween, some friends and I are having a way over-capacity party in a hotel room overlooking the 300,000 person festivities in Hollywood this year. I need to make a trash can full of drink.

What's a good drink that will:
a) fit the theme
2) not be too complicated to make in large quantities
#) be appealing to everyone (i.e. "Gentleman Jack straight up HARRRR!!!!!" = bad option)
h) be cheap to make

 
Rum sounds logical. Yo ho ho and a bottle of Rum and Coke...

Or, serve beer and call it mead. Anyone who calls it beer has to shotgun one (aka walk the plank).
Better yet, ale seems a good pirate drink.

That sounds like the best idea. You can make two trashcans: a lite version with just rum and the HD version with rum and everclear (or 151).
 
I threw a pirate party last spring, and we drank pirate punch which was
Captian Morgan's spiced rum
Malibu Rum
Bacardi Rum (light)
Bacardi 151
Whaler's Vanlina Rum
Hawain Punch
and Sprite and Ice

End results more red(hawian punch red) puke in my toliets, sink and bathtub than I care to remember. Everyone got throughly trashed. Its basically, buy a bunch of Rum and mix them all together.
