i was looking to buy a digital camera in the next couple days. i only want to pay around 150, not looking for anything high end. i just want to take alot of everyday pictures without the price of film, and developing, and the ease of putting them on my computer. i was curious as to the different important features, and peoples experience with different brandes etc. also would like recommendations on which one to buy. most likely pick it up online. thanks!

Check hot deals forum.
I know Staples has a deal for a Canon A10 for 199.99, use a $30 off $150 coupon, plus a $70 rebate.

head over to the for sale/trade boards right here on AT, you'll find a very nice camera at a much lower cost than you could ge for that purchasing it new. Just be sure to read the trading guidelines FAQ that's posted atop the forum if you've never traded here before.

Canon A10, Fuji Finepix 1300 or 1400, HP 315 or 318 should fit the bill.

You're in luck Micro Center is offering 20% off digital cameras.

You could also get a good deal from Staples.com here's their digital cameras selection try to find one priced at $150 so you can use a $30 off $150 coupon or $200 so you can use a $40 off $200 coupon.

I would research battery life for each camera. I bought a HP camera and it eats batteries like crazy. Luckily I got some goid rechargeable batteries that work with it.

Some digital cameras do come with rechargeable batteries. If you find a digital camera that you like which doesn't come with rechargeable batteries don't dispair because you can buy a charger and batteries for $30 with free shipping from NewEgg.com

oh, cool thanks. i really like that canon A10, looks like a nice camera. but so far the best price i could find was at dell for $180 shipped, thats with a $20 off, and their free shipping deal. i couldnt find it at staples, and the pricegrabber dealers are way too high for shipping, like $25 or something. is this going to be the best price im gonna find? if so im going to order it today. thanks again.

I would also consider the Fuji Finepix models which offer the best value and quality in entry level digicams.

Micro Center has 20% off but I couldn't find the A10 on their website.

Read some reviews at imaging-resource.com dpreview.com dcresource.com and steves-digicams.com
