Good deals on rental cars, any ideas?

I need to find some good deals for rental cars, tried expedia, prices sucked, anyone have any ideas for some good deals? i know there are some deals through different CC companies and whatnot, so i wanted to see if anyone had any ideas, the trip will be in the weekend of september 20th, in buffalo, ny, i can't find anything less than $39 a day, which is high considering when i worked at a hotel right next to the airport, they would charge $20-$25 a day for compact/economy cars, well, if anyone can help me out it'd be greatly appreciated.

best i found was for like $30 a day, which is still better t han expedia, but still higher than i wanted to pay

i rented a ford focus for something like $20 a day from them as well...must be just around here then... sorry.

Check Enterprise's site directly. I rented a neon (brand new and super clean!) for < $25 a day.
