I'm in Canada, but I can get an eVGA 6800GT with an NV5 Silencer for 490USD (including shipping and taxes).

Is this too much?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't cards slightly more expensive in Canada than the States...?
 
Maybe a little bit. It's by no means a real bad deal even for the agp version since the nv5 is already installed for you. As long as the card is in perfect working order and you don't want to mess with heatsink installation I say go for it but buying the parts seperately would be cheaper.

it's not installed, they're separate...

this is looking like a bad deal

thing is my parents are gonna pay for half of it, so why do i even care?
 
I think I'm just gonna get it, considering I'm only paying about 300 personally.

This is all assuming I can convince my parents to get me an early b-day present.
 
btw i *think* it includes Far Cry, not sure though

although a game isn't really a reason to buy a card, i should be buying for the hardware strictly, with games being a bonus

yea i know what you mean.. it's on sale too, which is weird

normally it's 450USD, but now it's on sale for 410USD
 
I am also in canada and just buy all my stuff from the states. I got an EVGA 6800 gt for 385 shipped via usps express.
