Doesn't look like a very hot deal to me, just seems like regular, everyday price.

And dunno about compatibility.

Not sure about compatiblity but I have the same RAM running in my NF7-S v2.0. Motherboard detected it right away and immediately I was overclocking. Have them running at 434mhz FSB. Great and stable.

The $165 price or the $135 price?

Interestingly it appears that this same memory comes in different colors of heat spreader. And only this particular model (the Mirrored Black) has the $30 rebate coupon. Hmmmmm...

Perhaps those weren't selling as well???

You may have noticed that no hot deals are formed as questions.

Yes, well, I can't seem to find this very memory for any less than $165-170 elsewhere on the web.

So, $30 off, it COULD be a "hot" deal. Or maybe just "warm".

It's phrased as a question, because I don't know if the quality of this memory warrants the standard $165 price tag, so others more experienced memory (or someone who owns it) may know if this is a good deal or not.

Well, I bought it.

The company seems solid and the PQi Memory has gotten good reviews.

This memory doesn't seem much different than any other Value RAM that is selling for the same price (after rebate). But, it comes with these really cool looking heat spreaders. So.... what the heck.

Now, hopefully it works with the Chaintech VNF4.

Probably just as good as value rams from Corsair/Kingston etc, but maybe slightly better?
Price is about right for value ram.

It will work in that board, but if you get 4 sticks it will bump you down to DDR333 since they are double sided.
