Fry's has an ad for Jan. 3/4 for an ATX case with power supply for $29.00. I bought one for a cheap replacement and it turned out to have a 300W power supply and overall to be a pretty good case: roomy, nice-looking and at least the one I bought is very quiet. I'm going for another one tomorrow.

I went to fry's a few weeks ago and was suprised by the nice selection of cases that they had. They usually don't have good stuff. They even had one of the chrome Fong Kai's!

Do you have a SKU or # on the one you found. I was just there today and landed an Antec ATX case - I went looking for a "cheap" one with a 300W supply and I could not find any, much less one for only $30.00 bucks or so.

Problem with Fry's cases is the ones not on special are usually sugg. retail. Take the Antec SX1030 for $129 and the Lian-Li AL PC-60 for $239. They rarely have more than one or two on specail.

The SKU # for the $29 case is 2553891. It's advertised as a 250W case and its picture in the flyer is wrong. Even the display case they had was the wrong kind (well, nothing surprising here, it's Fry's we're talking about). It's a "3G midtower ATX case", but the 3G they had on display was crap. I wouldn't have bought it, but luckily there was one open box nearby and I could see what I was getting -- better than the display. Actually, I noticed one bad thing about the case -- its front is curved, and when you put your floppy, CD-ROM, etc., they are recessed and it looks kind of ugly.
