So my friend's b-day is coming up, and I was thinking of getting her something along the lines of an art poster or something..although I'm going to have to ship it to her dorm, and that may be a bit tough..since either I'd get something really big and unrollable, or something rollable that'd get smashed along the way (although I guess they have those tube things to take care of that).

Anyone else have ideas along these lines?

Cool, thanks for the site..lots of stuff there.

Now I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to art and anything related to it..so would anyone have a recommendation for a Monet? I'm looking to spend around ~$20 on something that might look like it costs a lot more 🙂

There's lots of stuff you could get her, but if you really want to do a poster, get her something that YOU find meaningful or pretty. Photography is nice too, something mainstream like an Ansel Adams is easy to find and is usually cheap, as long as it's just a reproduction.
