good cpu to match with my 7800 gt ?

i need to pick out a cpu for my 7800 gt im think of going with a 3500 at 2.2 ghz what do you guys think ?

i dont want to overclock and i dont wanna go dual core trying to keep the price low

strictly for gaming BTW
