Don't get that GravisGamepadPro piece o crap!
The old Xterminator was cool, but they discontinued it.
Was expensive, too . ($40)

You need an analog joystick!

My personal fave is the

Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Analog
and
Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Power

I have one of each.

Should be able to get one for about $20 at Electronics Boutique.

Here's some reviews of the Thrusmaster Firestorm Dual Power.
Same as the Dual Analog, but with rumble feature.
It's awesome.

That thrustmaster dual analog looks very nice, but can you set it up to do the exact same thing as the PS2 controller on GTA3 for the PS2? Like the 2nd analog looks around, starts missions, etc....

Not by default.
I'm not sure if its coded into the game to support two analog sticks.
I havent messed with configuration.
And also didnt play the PS2 version much, so I dont remember the control scheme.

I know in Tony Hawk 3 you can use both analogs on the Thrustmaster.
One to move, and one to look around.
Theres options in the game to set two analog sticks up.
