To cool my flip-chip 600EB CuMine (15.8watts peak, 13watts average power), which is in a booksize box. Just something small w/pins. Thanks.

sorry buddy but since the P2, fans are a requirement. it'll get too hot. just get a one with a slow, small fan and u'll be fine.

or u could just somehow jam a notebook cpu into the slot.

only way to not use any fans would be one bigassed passive heatsink, and even then you'd need a fan to circulate the air. try using a Golden Orb, the fan they have is very quiet, and it's quite compact

Golden Orbs are NOT that quiet compared to other solutions out there. I'm very pleased with my radial-fin cooler that I got from QuietPC. It's very, very quiet. You can stop it with your finger & not notice any noise difference. It runs my P3 700e perfectly at 933 default voltage. That combined with two of their 80mm fans (20 dba), & my two 7200 RPM HD's are by far the loudest devices in my system. Next thing the two HD's are going to be replaced by one IBM 75 GXP in a SilentDrive.

Dang, I didn't realize QuietPC made CPU coolers!! :Q That's OK because I'm just about to order their SilentDrives for my fresh 75GXP :)

In this case, the 600EB will be cooled by its bundled retail HSF, and I'm ordering the QuietPC SocketA cooler for my forthcoming Tbird1.1 (which I might underclock..hehe)

Need I mention that my 230W QuietPC PSU is running without a fan? I unplugged and removed it, the PSU is running at lukewarm temperatures.

wait...a minute..
75GXP? isn't that the one spinning at 7200rpm?
I thought the maximum spec for silent drive was 5400 and no more due to the heat problem.. isn't that right?
