Good cocktail party songs

GoingUp

Lifer
Looking for good old stuff, Dean Martin, Sinatra, Maxine Sullivan, Ella Fitzgerald.... stuff from the 20s-40s preferrably.

Suggestions please 🙂

Specific Song Recomendations please!

Sinatra - Best off. It has a orange cover. Great cocktail party stuff. Also jazz music works well also. Stuff that is chill with no words. That way the guests have an easier time talking instead of people focusing on song lyrics.

I have some greatest hits cds of sinatra and martin already. What I want to do is put a mix together of a couple of hours of stuff, so I'm looking for specific song recommendations please.

Can I get some specific song recommendations please? Thanks for all of the artist names.
I love the old standards, and from the looks of his discography there's plenty on just about everything he's done.

The only Mel Torme I "own" I got from fellow vocalist nerds in my music classes in college...so it's on casette and I'm not exactly sure which albums are which.

Personal song favs of mine are "Autmn Leaves", "I'll be Seeing You", and "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square". Sorry I don't know which albums they're on. He's got such a great voice though I doubt you could go wrong with just about anything he's done. A "best of" or live recording would likely be your best bet.
