Good Cisco Pix for...

Probably the 506e. The 501 has a 10, 50, and unlimited user license you can choose from. The 50 and unlimited should be pretty close in price to the 506e. I dont believe the 506e is limited in the amount of users you can have. For 30, I'd do a 506e anyways.
 
Nice. I like the specs but it's too pricey. This is for personal learning use. Too bad it's so expensive.
 
The 501 50-user is cheaper than the 506E and if you're cost sensitive that might be a totally reasonable choice.

If you're buying it for personal use and super cost sensitive, buy a used one on EBay or from any of the many used Cisco dealers. The PIX is intended for business users and priced accordingly - on a business cost scale it's no big deal, but on a home cost scale it's expensive.
