Good choice for camera batteries?

I recently got a Kodak Zi6 camera on clearance ($79) at Target - it came with 2 AA rechargeable batteries, but I'm wondering whether Energizer lithium batteries or NiMH batteries would be more cost effective. I bought some generic NiMH batteries a couple years ago, but they didn't hold their charge after a couple charges, so obviously that wasn't a great idea, lol.

Obviously lithium batteries are readily available, but they're more expensive, obviously; I'm wondering what are some good brands of rechargeable batteries to consider for use in a pocket camcorder.

Thanks for any help!

Sanyo Eneloop or any other low-discharge NiMH battery.

Ditto for Eneloops. The are really good in the rechargeable class. Lithium is good, but they are also a hazmat for disposal.

They don't make lithium rechargeable in the AA size. Not ones that are AA compatible that is..

Eneloop FTW.

Without a doubt, Eneloop.

Keep it mind there's a newer version of Eneloop that has 50%(I'm not sure but it's what I remember) more recharable rate as well as less idle drain rate.
