Hey I want to give some wine as a gift under 40 bucks..but i dont' drink wine so i have NO idea what to get. Someone told me trader joe's has good cheap wine..can someone suggest me something?? Thanks!

The reislings by Fetzer and Turning Leaf are good, cheap wines. Around $5-$7 a bottle.

Honig Sauvignon Blanc is good. I had the 2002, which was quite nice.

Try a Riesling. perhaps a 1999 Maximin Grünhäuser Riesling. I enjoyed this a lot too. or try a Maximin Grünhäuser Riesling Kabinett.

both are well under $40. maybe u can get two.

or maybe a nice Icewine (Eiswein if u get a german one).

you should definately get the brand called Yellow Tail it is made in Australia, either their white/red wine are both good, it is featured in the latest issue of consumer reports for the best tasting wine and it costs less than $8/bottle.

I just love the stuff from William Hill Winery in Napa Valley.. Try their 1999/2000 Cabernet Sauvignon. Most exellent rich mature taste. Just awesome with meats. Let it 'roll around' your tounge and experience an explosion of taste. It can be had for <$20.
Daumn I almost need to change underwear now.
