Good cheap gaming mouse pad?

Well my Ratpadz GS is starting to wear down. The rough like surface is smoothen in places. It lasted 2-3 years though. Anyway looking to replace it with something that might not wear down at all if possible.

Also cheap as possible.

Edit: Just looked on Newegg and it looks like this might be the best one for the price.

For something that won't wear down try the Steelpad or Icemat (made of glass) neither are that cheap though, but if you wan't something that won't wear plastic is out, I have a func 1030 thats held up fairly well, but heavy gamers can wear em out if they are not careful with their mouse feet.

How about some links?

I wear out Ratpad GS's every 3 months. I dunno how you had one last 2-3 years! I'm hating the GS's anymore! I'd pay $100 for one that lasted 2-3 years.

I use this one:

Allsop Metal Art

It's cheap and works beautifully for me, much more precise than my old flimsy pad. I experienced a 1.5 frag/game increase I'm sure 😛

A 'plastic like' very slightly textured dell mouse pad on top of my Ratpadz (which wore out [smooth]) . . it works, and i'm not so sure i'd spend the $ on another plastic one like that. I think the stainless steal ones would be nice

rats seems to be good bang for buck atleast online. think places like frys sell it for 20😛

go to cshyde.com for teflon tape for mouse feet. keep that pad lasting longer, and movement smoother..and mouse feet from being worn down🙂 nice and cheap too. otherpplaces sell it as mouse skatz and give u a tiny strip.

i like the mouse skates (zero friction) . . . got a bunch of em on a sheet, have went thru 2 sets of 4 and have plenty left still . . they make a huge difference when 'new' (just put on) use em before your feet wear out...they'll work better. 😉

my mouse is ~5 years old, bu ti love it so trying to keep it goin for me! 🙂

I have the Ice Mat. I've done comparisons between the Ratzpads and the smooth metal style mousepads. The Icemat wins hands down for smoothness, accuracy, and I suppose durability (won't wear) provided you don't somehow drop your mousepad... and even then if it's on carpet you should be fine. The glass is pretty robust.
