Good & Cheap Beer Suggestions?

What's your goal?? Getting ripped up on the cheap or getting decent flavor for your cash? Natty ice Platinum is hard to beat for getting pissed on the cheap. I think it's like 6 or 7% too.

What do you consider cheap?

I'm currently drinking Back In Black from 21st Amendment. Was $7.49 for a six pack.

Gas Bag is a fucking beer snob. DO NOT listen to him.

Shock Top's better than a lot of beers that are 2x the price. I can't speak on the quality, but for cheap the .99 cent store usually has one called "Beer 30" At .50 a can it has even Natty Light beat for cost.

my cousin is fond of canned yuengling but....i think its pretty bad stuff. the black and tan (bottled) is ok for cheap beer, but id rather have amber bock or honey brown.

cheap canned beer is usually pretty awful to me.

I was going to list some of my top beers, but then I realized I never really pay attention to the price of beer. I'm spoiled here in CO, we have a stupid amount of breweries putting out great beer for cheap.

I've always been a huge fan of Coors Light as my staple, go-to cheap beer. It's usually pretty cheap.

Same here, one of the few beers I can drink regularly. It doesn't taste as cheap as some others that are more expensive. It's not nearly as watery as bud light or miller light either :beer:

Newcastle brown ale is pretty good. Might be a little steep at ~$1.50/12Oz glass. But it tastes good.

Tuckerman Headwall Alt is a great beer too, and not too expensive. Can usually find it in NH stores for ~$8.50 a 6 pack.

Molson Canadian isn't too bad either.

Yuengling is one of the most overrated beers IMO. Folks in PA and VA go nuts for the stuff and I can't figure out why. It always tastes like dish soap to me.

Somehow I don't associate about $26 per the equivalent of a 6pk with cheap beer.

it has ~11 ABV, almost triple your coors lites, which gives it a little more value

I'm a Yuengling fan myself shonuff, Ive always thought it had a crisper less garbagey aftertaste than alot of the mass produced lagers, that actually has flavor

coors lite doenst haven an aftertaste because it barely has flavor at all 😛

imo most shocktops are garbage, overly sweet, though the regular is pasable, a far better version of blue moon than blue moon to me, (blue moon is too havy on the coriander IMO)

Mickeys and Colt 45 are decent value per $ IMO when bought as 40's, hard to beat a good $2 buzz 🙂

at the next step up Killians, Honey Brown, Amber Bock(any mich beer you actually like) and whatever leines are on sale are usually a good value

Drink the equivalant of that in a six pack and you'll be in the hospital with alcohol poisoning. As far as high quality beers go, the stone imperial stout is an amazing bargain. At 10.5% abv it packs a punch and http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/147/1160 it is very well respected in the community. 1 22oz bottle should last a couple of hours as it's a sipper, not a chugger. But if you knew beer, you would know that.

New Belgiums Ranger (6.5%) and Sierra Nevadas Torpedo (7.2%) are pretty good bang for your buck if you like hoppy beers.

Full Sail on the microbrew end, usually about a dollar cheaper per six than most others.

On the megabrew end, I sort of like Michelob Light. You hardly see it any more though.

For really really cheap, maybe Old Milwaukee? I haven't had to scavenge like that in a while.

I've had Yuengling and it's not bad as far as American beers go. Certainly better than pisswasser like Rolling Rock.

Molson Canadian is a classic cheap, crappy beer. Only frat boys seem to like it here in its home country. Same goes for Labatt Blue. It's one of those things you get if the bar has nothing else on tap.

I do like the Newcastle Brown Ale though. Also London Porter. Guiness is alright but it's an acquired taste. It's lighter than people expect it to be, and less fizzy. Personally I prefer heavier ales to lagers.
Though some you get now are like drinking a glass of tar.

There's no such thing as cheap beer in Ontario. I think $1.50 per bottle is the minimum price set by the government now. Gotta keep fattening up those civil servant pay cheques... er, keep those kids from drinking.

Stella

Unlike the rest of the entire world, I prefer lagers and still don't like IPA's so you can just completely ignore my suggestion if you wish.
