Good chairs for good back posture?

Hi, I'm looking for an office chair (any chair that has wheels and up and down feature) that is good for my back. I find most gaming chairs have bad back posture angles and now I know why most gamers have hunchbacks and shark fins coming out there back. My budget is under £100 or even better under £50. Is this possible? Anyone know any good recommendations? Yes, I freaking know the best option is to go to xyz and test them out in real life, but I haven't got time for that right now.

I appreciate the help :)

I haven't used this specific chair, but I do like this style of chair, as the back support is decent.

The best thing for your back is to get up frequently, at least once or twice an hour. If a chair is really comfortable enough to "sink into" for hours, your muscles will just weaken, and you'll be more prone to back problems down the line (though on the other hand if you do a lot of manual labor, resting on a very comfy chair is good... gamers, students, office workers, etc are more likely to suffer from strain caused by disuse of muscles, though).

Wow thank you wizard Chrono! I gotta say that chair has a weird back shape but looking it again it does make sense why that is good for back positioning. The reviews looks good too :)
Do you have any others? If not I might just get that.

I don't have any other recommendations really, what works for me are basic armless swivel chairs.
You should ask to move this to Off Topic, though, you'll get more responses there.

I was going to post it to Off topic but you know the bad guys are mostly in the off topic section lol. They probs reccomend me £800 chairs cuz they all earn 100k

Can't say enough good things about the cheap cheap chair that I bought last summer. Feels so amazingly good, despite having a fraction of the bells and whistles, and costing a fraction of high end chairs. I think the keys to it are:

1. Simplicity. It doesn't have wrap-around sides, or have odd adjustable lumbar supports that unnaturally jab me in the lower back. It's just a seat and a back with arms.

2. Firmness. Not overly plush. It has a mesh back that's pretty close to vertical. I don't know what it is about the mesh back, but apart from being very cool, it's incredibly supportive and incredibly comfortable.

3. Not too large, or too deep. Deep chairs just encourage me to slouch. I park my butt right in the back end of this chair, and the chair does the rest. Supports me perfectly.

And, tbh, the only reason I bought this chair (two of them, actually) is that I was looking for a chair and got a deal alert about them being mispriced during a sale. I got the chair for $10, and after living with it for six months, would happily have paid 30x that just for the comfort.

Slightly off the wall, but I use a kneeling chair (google it), does have wheels can be adjusted for hight and gives you good posture. I used to get back problems but have used one of these for 17 years now and dont get trouble due to sitting at a desk all day. I still get the ocaisional problem with the back but its due to other things like lifting heavy objects etc.
Its all I use

Anything with the backrest that leans so far back that you don't use it. Good back posture is about sitting upright rather than letting you rest on the back of the chair. You can do that with many different chairs by just scooting forward a little on the seat, so long as it's not adjusted so high that your legs are dangling off. Good back posture is also about having your feet planted on the floor so your core can support you. You can balance for a while without that but it's no good for longer periods of time, at least not till you've done it shorter periods to build up your back and abdomen more.

I have some minor back issues, and I ended up getting this chair from IKEA last year. Very happy with it - it has one of the few well dimensioned backs I've seen for lubmar support (outside of mesh chairs like those linked above). Added on the armrests and headrest that IKEA makes for it. While it's on the firm side for long-time use, the back rest is great, I love that it's adjustable to hell and back (back height, tilt resistance, armrest height, armrest depth, seat depth), and the tilt is lockable if you want more support. I just cranked up the tilt resistance to match my comfort level, raised the back a few notches, and put the armrests in the rear-most position in a comfortable typing height. Wrote most of my masters thesis sitting in this chair.

Last year or so I was sick of throwing money at leather/pleathor chairs that lose their support after a year. I spend alot of time in my computer chair and dont mind spending some money on it to feel good. At first I was looking at all those gaming chairs but after hours of research I found that they wernt so hot and that funny enough, office chairs that use mesh fabric are where it is at. The king daddy of the chairs is the Aeron Chair series, but getting a large one with good options can reach upwards of $1000. Luckly office max offers a pretty good knock off under the WorkPro brand. I picked up the Mesh back/Fabric cushion instead of going full mesh because I didn't feel as comfortable sitting on the mesh part. Going to the store and trying out the chairs is a must. The one I got was http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/130313/WorkPro-Quantum-9000-Series-Ergonomic-Mid/

It hasn't shown any signs of falling apart or parts becoming lose and it feels great, I found it well worth the money. It has adjustable everything except the tilt of the seat, and I find the seat only mildly digs into the back of the leg in instances where your leg hangs from the edge of the seat vs slightly elevated when your feet are on the floor (something you want to strive for). My greatest likes about it are the wonderful lumbar/back support from the mesh back, and the adjustable arms level my hands with the keyboard and desk at rest.
