What would be the lowest CFM rating you would use for the main case fan? I've got a Athlon 1500 not overclocked and am trying to decide on which case fan to buy.

I'm looking @ these here or the standard Antec 80mm fan which i believe is about 34 cfm but 30 dba.

for a case fan, probably anything over 20 would be "ok" although it depends on other factors as well. If the case was designed to have good cooling, then lower cfm ratings would be acceptable, say in an Antec SX series or a Fong Kai FK-320. The Silencer would probably be a good deal.

that thing cost 20 bucks!? why get that when you can get a 80 mm fan much cheaper. I've seen some places sell it for like a dollar each.

The Antec fans are really good. They aren't loud, they just give off this whisper-type sound that doesn't irritate ears.

I'm using 4 Antec fans in my SX1040B. The two that came with the case are lower CFM than the ones I got (34 CFM, 30 DBa). They do give off quite a bit of sound, though...but as stated, it's more like an ambient "woosh" than a high-pitched squeal.
