Ok folks I'm in the market for a cell phone but I'm none too sure who would give me the best deal on a phone/plan and who has the best reputation. I'm just going to give a list of what I'm looking for in a plan & phone and see what you people suggest. BTW I'm in the Denver, CO area if that helps at all:

Phone

- Must be small & lightweight. Doesn't need to be absolutely tiny but small is good
- It'd be nice to have a color display that is fairly easy to read
- Bluetooth, although the single phone I have seen that has this is a Nokia that is quite $$
- Doesn't break the bank
- Long battery life

Plans

- Must have a decent amount of minutes without charging & arm and a leg (decent for me is about 500 minutes or more)
- Has a good service area
- If I do happen to go over my alloted minutes its a decent rate for additional
- Wireless web access that is cheap. My main use for this is for checking e-mail and an occassional IM. Or if the phone supports it hookup
with my URThere @migo PDA.

Any and all suggestions are welcome. And to those folks thinking that I should put this in hot deals it is a real PAIN to look through that IWANNA post and I feel it's for more specific I wants.

When I took my sprint phone to Colorado Springs, I had great reception in CS, and in Denver, but none at all while I was on the interstate approaching those cities. I think Verizon is probably your best bet if you want to use your phone outside of the city.

Yeah I've kindof been leaning towards Verizon but I'd like some more opinions. More suggestions please :)

i always suggest verizon for these threads because its been exceptional for me and everyone else i suggested the service to. clarity, service (both involving the phone and customer service reps), everything has been top notch. the only downfall i see is their slow roll out of phones (but they do EXTENSIVE testing to make sure the phone is of top quality and performance) and, i dont know how important this is a factor for you since you did mention it, but lack of bluetooth. and i dont see them making that move to add support for it either anytime soon. but if you can get past those couple hang-ups, then i fully recommend verizon, and i would suggest going with either the samsung or lg line phones.

Looking like Verizon right now. It's just that I don't see a lot of good phone deals on their site. Anybody have some websites I should check or locations in my area?

i heard if you go to circuit city, they have the vx6000 (color, camera phone) for $159 plus a $50 MIR (2 year agreement). if you have a CC nearby, that might be worth checking out, because currently, this is verizons best phone IMO.
