i think i got it in a couple of days, activating is by calling a number and doing it. they send you all the instructions for doing it.

Totally depends on where you are...... Ask local friends and coworkers.....and neighbors. Only verizon works on my street with more than 2 bars due to poor tower placement with other carriers.

What's a good phone?
I haven't had one in years even though I've had top of the line Nextel's.

You should do the Sprint $30/mo plan with 500 minutes and unlimited data. It totally rocks!

I've seen many of Amazon's deals, might be a good choice to go with them. Like any of these, make sure you know exactly what forms you have to send in, where to send, what copies they need, etc.

I would do that in a heartbeat if it allowed me to use my own phone :(

I want to use a PDA Phone I have that uses SIM cards, but Sprint doesn't support that apparently.

check out some carrier's return policies. i know that some have a small window that allow you to return the phone and get a refund. good for checking out real life reception where you use the phone the most.
