I need a good motherboard for a Celeron 1.4 ghz (100fsb) cpu since my old Abit 440x BX2 board died (I was using a slot adapter with it). I prefer the motherboard not have a video card built in.

I like the Abit ST6 but I can't find it for sale and it doesn't have an ISA slot either, which I need for an old modem probably.

edit: fixed fsb typo

I have had good luck at justdeals.com with new boards that are old tech. I got an ASUS CUSL2 for $35 delivered. Take a look, they may have a Tualatin MB. Don't spend a bunch of $$ on that ond CPU. R

Soyo's SY-7VBA133U can still be found in some quantities. Based on the VIA 694T, it will support PIII/Celeron Tualatin up to 1.4GHz (including the 512K L2 version), and has two ISA slots for your legacy pleasure. Unlike the i815E (TISU), the VIA 694T supports up to 1.5GB of RAM and is an all-around better performer.

Soyo's e-Store has refurbished models in stock for both the 7VBA133U and SY-TISU. New SY-7VBA133U's run between $60 and $70. Even the refurbished model will set you back more than $60 after shipping, which seems more than a bit steep for an aging platform.

Alternatively, you can try to snap-up something on Ebay, like this Tualatin ready Lite On TR100 mATX board or Asus i815E TUSL2.
