Good cd organizer?

I have a tendency to scratch up my cds and, since I use some pretty expensive video apps, badly need a good organizer... I currently rip the cds to my HD but that's getting expensive... Any good cd organizer for less than $50? I love those USB ones but they're kinda pricey... A rack isn't ideal either because I don't have many jewel cases... Though I guess I can buy a bunch of jewel cases and then a rack.. But that takes up a lot of spaces.. Any ideas people?
 
I had a cd wallet but the thing fell apart... The inserts would get loose and cds would fall out of the damn thing... Any other good ones out there? I'd like to be able to not have to fumble through ever cd in order to pick one (like a tower) but with a nice organization system ... Maybe a manual version of one of those USB towers? That would rock..
