Does it even really matter what brand you get? I just don't like any of the Antec and Chieftec because of those damn doors. Are there any other brands worth reccommending?

The 635 Antec has NO door and a 350 watt PSU. Should work fine. Linky (shipping is killer, get it local if you can):

Looks pretty good to me, thanks. 350W is enough for a top of the line computer, or would I need to replace the PSU?

Just out of curiosity, do people actually like doors? Seems to me they'd just get friggin annoying.

doors like the antec doors are nice. why? they are nice solid plastic and when closed help to muffle general noise and annoying loud optical drive noise. when closed they cover the power button, if locked u lock your computer from tampering. whenc losed u don't have to look at all those drives that do not match your cases color. antec/chieftec doors are solidly constructed, they aren't a problem.

what is "top of the line". a good 350 is adequet for most uses.

Yes, I have the Antec 1080 awg (with doors) and they are ANNOYING !!! (but I love the 430 PSU)

And NO, you certainly don't need to replace the PSU as it is one of the best things in the case. I need the extra power for my DLT 7000 drive (they suck a lot of power)

If you have very young kids like I do then a door may very well be a "good" thing to have. I don't have this case but i've thought about getting this style because of this very reason. It's not cool to have spontaneous reboots because your kid likes to press buttons no matter how closely you watch them.

I like the door. All my drives are a different shade of beige so the door hides it well. Blinking LEDs in the dark look pretty neat through the slits in the front too.

There are a lot of Chenming variants out there (Antec, Chieftec, etc.) Here are some I like at newegg: Compucase . They all have very good HEC PSUs and with or without doors.
. While looking for PSUs, I chanced on this one: KeyPower 307-317 - Check it out!
. Not very pretty but looks exceptionally functional (seems to be totally toolless, even the mobo mounts) and cheap besides. When you buy the case for $33. you can get their KPS-300B PSU for $19. if you want it.
. I used to use KP PSUs a lot but it's been a while. They were very good then - nickle plated cases.

The door that I have on my Case is made out of solid Steel. I love the Thermaltake v1000 blue case. I know it cost a little to much, but oh well its a really nice case.. And the doors are a good thing on a case cause you all different color drives in the case but when you close the door you cant see them.

No on has mentioned yet my favourite Case maker out there Lian-LI. Lian-Li is considered by many people as the best cases out there but very expensive. Also Kingwin has some cool cases(they are cool clones of Lian-Li cases). Also Coolermaster makes some nice cases(These guys are super expensive). Enermax has a few nice cases. Chenming make good cases. Aopen make some nice affordable cases also. I'll post back with more cases and some good links.

BTW - Lian-Li dosn't have the doors you hate, that is the main reason why i am buying the Lial-Li PC65. I hate doors as well.
