good case temp and cpu temp

27'C is room temperature..just for reference. For the processor it all depends on the specific processor and the workload, 52 C is close to what my AMD T-bird runs at full load, I have a somewhat poor heatsink/fan right now though. As for the case temp I think 42 C is a little high. You might want to check to see how your fans (assuming your using air cooling) are circulating air into the case properly.
