Good camcorder/camera with slow motion + at least 720p video?

My buddies and I shoot short films for fun and we'd like a slow motion fx cam (to shoot with along side a canon t4i). I know casio makes some point and shoots as well as something like the goPro (100fps?). Any thoughts?

720p would be a minimum, 1080p would be ideal but I know resolution often drops with frame rate.

why not grab an old panasonic gh1 and hack it, its does 60 frames at 720p and as far as video is concerned its better than 5dmk2...i have seen em go for $250-300 at ebay

A cheap P&S to consider is the Canon SX230HS. Full HD video + 30 sec slow mo clips at 120 or 240fps, though res drops to 640x480 and 320x240 respectively.

I keep this camera only because of the slow-mo capabilities. Just for fun -- not sure it cuts it as a serious tool though.

I have been looking into this today and found that Casio do the EX-ZR series of cameras that go up to 1000 fps but the resolutions aren't great:

224 x64 (1000fps)
224x160 (480fps)
512x384(240fps)
640x480 (120fps)
512x384 (30 to 240fps)
640x480 (30 to 120fps)

What I ideally want is a camera that can do HD at about 240 fps but I haven't had much luck in finding one yet that isn't crazy expensive.

the video is so good i find it hard to believe it was done on an iphone 5s

What's your definition of slo-mo? If you can get a camera with even just 60 FPS, you can do slow motion in software really well. Check out Twixtor, for example:
