Good Bye, Lenin!

I just saw this film last night. It's from Germany and has just made its way stateside. Personally, I think it was the best movie I've seen in a long time. There was something very gripping and poignant about the entire story.

If it is playing near you, I highly recommend seeing it.

Saw it last year I think. Quite long ago. Man, you guys are slow when it comes to international films. Hehe.

Anyway, the film was great. Black humour kind of funny in some situations, and very poignant and sad in some parts. Definitely shows you the funky kind of stuff those people went through in that dramatic period of change. Especially those older people who couldn't find any jobs after and starved to death...

Hehe, I remember the coca cola banner.

i didnt think it was spectacular or great by any stretch..but i first watched it under the context of a it being a mandatory movie for my german class and didnt fully understand the dialog ;O
