Good Bye ATI Radeon 64...

For now... I bought a Visiontek GF3 Ti-200 (trying the $99 best buy deal)

I liked the Radeon... Never really had problems with it. ran all my games fine!

but.. I have to say

this VT TI-200 is AWESOME!

has S-Video Out and I have it overclocked....

Core: 220, Memory: 450 right out of the box..

CS smoke grenades do not lag me at all.

Quake 3 1600x1200 with everything maxed I got 87 FPS in the timedemo..

2D is GREAT.. actually I think its sharper then my ATI Radeon.

It's nice to see the 2D image quality situation improving on nVidia's cards.

I'm a 3dfx user and I hate the geforce2 series but the geforce3 is an excellent card. I also think the geforce2 series is crap. So it gets you fast fps but you risk driver problems. With the GF3, fast fps and no driver problem. THey also fixed the 2d quality problem.

i bought a VT ti-200 at best buy yesterday, and it is replacing an elsa erazorx (geforce1 SDR). its a sweet card! i maxed out coolbits at 220/500 out of the box, and i haven't had an problems with artifacts. maybe i got one of the rumored 4ns VT cards, but whatever it is, i'm happy

Can You comment on the DVD playback quality? How does it compare to ATI. I know all those stories they are better but is it really noticeable???

Ah come, it sounds like you really LOVED the gf2's?

Yeah, I would like to know about DVD playback too! Does the ti200 use less power than the original gf3?
