If you are looking at cheap, the AIW cards are not really fitting the bill. But if you need a graphics card and want good integrated features also, look no further. You may want to check out the new AIW 9000 Pro or for better gaming the AIW 9600 Pro...just depends on what you need

Ati's AIW VE add on TV card is not a bad add on but I's take an ASUS or Leadtek (even the Hauppauge) over it.

ok ive been looking around and have gotten really confused

all i want is a dedicated pci mpeg 2 encoder that will make cable TV sitcoms episodes into dvd format so that i can burn them onto dvd-rs with my dvd burner

i can have a dedicated computer for this purpose

the card needs a coax cable tv input

i prefer pci card since the agp is busy with the computer video card

the encoder needs to have dvd quality output

The ASUS TV880 is a great card...but good luck finding it. Maybe in FS/FT or EGay?

Make me an offer I can't refuse via PM

If you do find and buy it, don't use very high resolution (full-screen) -> it'll look blocky.

The screenshots on the review websites, were probably done in 1024x768 (which is why they look very crisp)
