It absolutely does not matter if it does HD res or anything like that. I need something BRIGHT, does at least 1024x768, and preferably (not required though) has two vga inputs.


DVI not required either..
 
I've been happy with the NEC LT380 that I picked up recently. The other projector I was seriously considering was the Panasonic PT-LB60NTU.

If you're going off the prices on projectorcentral, note that those are MSRP rather than street price.
 
Price is relative. Five years ago, if I would have bought a projector similar to the one I just got, it would have cost twice as much.
