good breakfast foods?

okay, so I'm trying to eat healthier (doritos and kit-kats aren't cutting it for my stomach or complexion anymore). I have dinner and lunch stuff pretty much nailed down, but I need some breakfast ideas. A couple years ago, I learned how to cook scrambled eggs really well, but then I made the mistake of making them like everyday for a few weeks. I got totally sick of them and I can't stand eggs now. So...what are some healthy alternatives for breakfast that don't involve sugar? I tried out some oatmeal today, which I spiced up with some maple syrup (not bad!). I think adding raisens and sliced bananas will help with oatmeal, since I'm not too fond of it.

I really need to start up my Cooking with Kaido website again, lol...

Salad bowl + pack oreos + gallon milk = nutrition

seriously though, oatmeal is a good idea. Eat it with some proteins, eggs maybe (not together.. or maybe) or peanut butter?

I bolded your glaring contradiction.

Try a bowl of Total or Grape Nuts with 1% milk.

Would that be the same as preventive measures?

on the weekends i usually go with

2 eggs, beaten
marble cheese cut into little cubes of love
diced shrooms
diced green peppers
onion flakes or chopped onions if we have em
chopped cooked bacon (optional)

throw it all in a bowl and mix it up. put it in the pan, make yourself an omelet. i eat every bite on toast. nice cold glass of 1% milk. yummy!

I'm kind of a health nut. Here's what I eat for breakfast every morning. Its easy and after 4 months I have yet to get sick of it:

4 eggs - 2 whole, 2 whites only
3/4cup old fashioned oats - add splenda and cinnamon, or some sugar free davinci's syrup
Glass of milk with a bit of whey protein added (though you don't really need the whey)
multivitamin

There ya go, nice healthy breakfast. 🙂

I think if I add enough stuff to the eggs I can handle eating them. A monster omelet like that sounds pretty good 🙂

I've also been trying fish recently. Salmon with a sweet potatoe and cod with mixed veggies, both with soymilk. That stuff will wake you up, lol. It definately gives you energy for the day.

I think the key to not getting sick of food is to have a rotating menu. Like the saying goes, too much of a good thing is a bad thing. I've heard that having a three-day rotating menu will prevent you from getting sick of the foods you are eating.

1% milk + 1.5 scoops of whey
1 cup of oats (OLD FASHIONED, NOT INSTANT) in water, with a packet of splenda, NO MAPLE SYRUP, i don't care if you live in paul bunyon's bunyon...

have that for breakfast while drinking 8-10 glasses of water throughout the day and a sensible mid morning snack meal (see whey shake, carrots + little piece of chicken, low sugar/carb protein bar), lunch, post lunch snack (similar to mid morning snack meal) and dinner ... do this with moderate exercise 4x a week (immediately followed by 1.5-2 scoops of whey in milk and a pint of white rice), join a gym! (combine good fat with protein, or good carbs with protein, try to never have protein, fat and carbs)... u can even cheat 1-2x a week.

spring break is coming.

cliffs:
1) no sugar
2) eat about 5-6 times a day (no fat + carbs + protein, only fat/carbs + protein)
3) exercise
4) = look good nekkid

I have a friend who has eaten oatmeal every day for breakfast for the last ten years or so. He said at the beginning it was really hard, but it's routine now. I dunno tho, I need some variety 🙂

3/4 of a cup cooked or measured before cooking?

Ever try Quaker Oats (not the instant or 5 minute stuff) raw in a bowl with milk and splenda? Yummy and fast.

So do I...but the stuff is still sugar you know?

Breakfast is a hard one...There just aren't any traditionally breakfast things available that are actually healthy. cereal is the closest one, but I want something heavier usually. So its eggs. Or I just eat a sandwich.

Both work in that sentence but have slightly altered meaning (the words do not have the same exact meaning). BTW the word 'preventative' has been around since the 1600s 😉 (in case you were interested)

You will look good naked but suck on a date because you won't eat anything that tastes good.
