good brands for wired routers

I'm looking to set up a wired network and am wondering which companies make the best routers. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

I've had good luck with D-Link & SMC, and I wouldn't be adverse to using Linksys. As long as you stick with the major brands, you should be fine. I'd look around for rebate deals, that's how my decision is normally made. I bought this D-Link DI-614+ wireless router for $15 after rebates, for instance.

What kind of router? DSL? Cable? Leased Line?

I'd go either NetGear or Cisco, depending on your budget and your needs...

I have wireless internet but i've been told I can use a cable/dsl router and it will work fine.
