I took an intro CS class that used java and picked it up pretty quickly. But since i wont be taking any more CS classes, i was wondering if anyone knew a good book that i could use to teach myself C++.
My old C++ professor has an excellent set of online supplemental notes for his intro to C++ classes, Check them out here. These notes should allow you to become familiar with the basics of C++.
Starting out with C++ by Gaddis. Still use it today for the occasional reference. You don't need the latest version, so you should be able to find one for pretty cheap.
