I'm going to update from my Q6600 to something a little faster like the i7 860. It will be my main office system, but I will mildly OC it so I am looking for suggestions. I do use it for recording OTA HDTV and some video editing. Will my current Corsair DDR2 800 memory be OK to reuse? I have 2 9600 GSO 384MB cards I can use or, I can sell them and get something a little better. I don't do much gaming... a little CoD once in a while at 16x12 with no AA so I think the 9600's are OK.

You won't be able to use your DDR2 on a P55 board - its DDR3 only.

As for which motherboard, well, just look on newegg and find a price which okay with, then go see which features you like. You can't really go wrong with P55. . .

My favorites:
MSI,Asus,Gigabyte

Stay Away From:
