good/best quality pc mic's or headsets?

Basically, the topic. I don't know how many people use headsets for chatting (during games and such), or for voice recognition software.

I was wondering if we had a resident expert on this topic in the house that could provide some insight. I'm looking for very high-quality sound input and output. I've seen some good reviews for many labtec models, but I wanted to ask the know-better AT people first.

plantronics dsp-500 usb headsets
its the choice for most of the hardcore gamers at CPL, and thats good enough for me. $150 normally, I guess you can find them around for $100 some places.

I second the vote for a plantronics headset. The Labtec headsets that I've seen get good reviews only have one earpiece.
