We are going to bring food for about 10 ppl tomorrow at the beach and want something more than just chips and dip but also something that will be good over a few hours (ie, prolly not hot food)

Any ideas?

I essentially lived on the beach all summer during junior high and high school. My mom would drop my brother and I off in the morning, and pick us home on her way home from work. We'd meet all our friends there and just hang out and surf all day. We pretty much survived on home run pies and chips from the convenience store down the street. So that's what I recommend, Home Run pies and pringles.

Fresh fruit is always good. Seedless red and green grapes are easy. If you have an ice chest, cut up watermelon, honeydew, and canteloup. Mini cheese wedges and string cheese are also a good snack.

PB + Celery for snacks
Any Grain / Nuts are good, including granola bars
Beef Jerky
and PB&J sammies as mentioned earlier is good.

if you're going to be there a while, i don't recommend the potato salad, unless you have a way to keep it cold the entire time.

Fresh fruit and veggies.

The last party we went to had gyros (sp?).......mmmm they were soooo tasty, but I bet they were a bit pricy.
