I know and it sucks. I'm not really much of a gamer, but I love a good video baseball game.

On a related note. Bought NCAA 2006 last night and it is kicking some ass

Much better than 2k5? Worth the buy?

MvP Baseball 2k5 is a really fun game though. I love it. If you get it for Xbox let me know my gamer tag is Cuda1337, we can play sometime.

I played both the ESPN one and MVP. I sold ESPN, MVP is a much better game. It was the opposite for me last season but for some reason they decided to completely rewrite ESPN from the ground up and they missed a lot of what made last year's game good.

NEver played the 05 version. Skipped it because I was not really into gaming for a while. Saw 06 at a buddies house last night then went straight to the store and bought it myself.

Thanks, will do if I get it.

funny considering that ESPN now owns the license to MLB and EA can no longer continue its MVP franchise

I could have sworn that EA got the exclusive rights to NBA, NFL and MLB and ESPN got like 1-2 other less popular sports exclusive rights.

MVP 2005 for realism... Slugfest Loaded (or 2003, 2004) for fun play.

MLB 2k5

mvp 2005 isn't that good. I couldn't seem to do any trades at all. i even tried giving them Bonds for a minor leaguer, no go. 3 stars for a minor leaguer? nope.

edit: oh plus mlb 2k5 is cheaper, you could get it for $15-20.

On XBOX, I have both ESPN and EA. I thought EA was too "stiff" and linear. I also agree with the above that ESPN's re-code of the game missed a few things but overall I still like the feel better. The only thing EA really did BETTER than ESPN was the player animations. Technically, I like ESPN's gameplay a lot more. I would sell EA but these sports games go for chump change. I don't even touch EA anymore. (And this was their last baseball game).
