Good bars in Cincinnati?

Some friends and I are meeting up in Cincinnati and we need a good bar for a Friday night. Most of us are staying near King's Island so something as close to the Northeast as possible would be nice. Any tips?

Mt. Adams is a good area with many good bars and great views for a summer evening.
It is closer to downtown though.

The Hofbrauhaus in Newport,KY (right across the river) is awesome too.

Sorry, I don't know much about the North side.

Really close to Kings Island is a bar called the Red Rock Tavern here where a lot of the locals go. There are a few restaurants and bars a couple miles from KI on Mason-Montgomery Road as well. I live about a mile from Kings Island and that area is mostly a bedroom community.

Downtown Cincy/Mt. Adams is about a 25 minute drive via I-71 and there are a few bars/restaurants off I-75 at the Union Centre Blvd. exit about 20 minutes from the KI area.

Im pretty sure any gas station of grocery store will have goodbars
