Well since a lot of us purchase PC hardware on the internet, I figure it'd be nice to list all the stores where you've had positive experiences and so you can also tell your horror stories. This will probably be a good reference in the future for potential buyers who are afraid of trying out new places.

List all the stores you personally dealt with and I'll update this post when necessary!

Good Stores

Canada
Adpmods Not a whole lot of stuff but they got a lot of fans.
Bigfoot Computers A bit expensive but they have a large variety of cooling and modding stuff.
Canada Computers Competitive prices on almost anything you'd want! Beware the service though...
E-Compuvision Ralph is the man and he can get you almost anything you want!
Kit-Tronics You want hardcore and fast shipping? They can provide!
NCIX Expensive but if you want good stuff like Corsair in Canada they have it.

USA
Best Byte Computers Lots of modding hardware and a large array of good cooling options. A little slow on shipping though...
Compuplus
Directron - Good prices and they actually have a warehouse location!
Frozen CPU Probably the largest array of hardcore cooling stuff.
GameVE Good prices, large selection.
Google Gear Lots of stock, good prices and fast shipping!
Hardware Gods Garry is very prompt with his e-mails and they got hardcore gear if you want it.
Newegg The largest US online store which gets everything very fast.
SVC An all in one store. From modding to SFF PC's, SVC has almost everything you'll need.
TCWO
Tiger DirectLots of stuff but sometimes shipping can be expensive.
Xoxide

UK
Overclockers UK Whatever hardcore you want, they deliver!
Tekheads Excellent Delivery services!

I would place Computer Surplus Outlet at the very TOP of any list of bad venders.

In two dealings with them, they failed to honor a one-year warranty on a computer system purchase (at over $300) where the motherboard went bad within the firstn 6-months (refused to answer repeated requests for a RMA) and in a different transaction refused to promptly issue a credit card refund (again for a $300+ purchase) where they charged my credit card and could not ship the product (out of stock) until 4 or 5 weeks later.

I had to get refund by filing dispute claim with credit card company even though they advertised the product would be shipped within 3 or 4 days from the time ordered.

These are venders to avoid at all costs. Actually you would think they would be trustworthy since they are a "frequent" advertiser on this site.

Computersurplusout.com are very shaddy operators in my opinion.-

Just looked up computersurplusoutlet.com at resellerratings.com. Looks like I should have done this BEFORE placing any orders with them.

They have a rating of 1.25 out of 10 for the past 6-months and a rating of 3.55 out of 10 lifetime. WOW that is BAD!!!

I was a newegg head for several years, but recent experience has caused me to question their continued commitment to customer service.

Get those TigerDirect thieves off that list:

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM TIGER DIRECT EVER.

We get scammed time after time at this forum by TigerDirect, how can you not know that if you've been reading this forum for any length of time?

Originally posted by: attention I agree, if a company treats many people badly, by screwing them with junk or selling them returned items it shows their style of business.

That has nothing to do with one or the other bad mooded CSR which we alsways encounter.

Here it is a crook company doing bad bad business, and a few "lucky" people who even might be affiliated with them (who can prove/dissaprove this!) are no reason to believe that they have changed in any way.

On contrary, as a matter of fact they now roam these boards with their own hired people to spread something positive about themselves, much as they did with resellerratings.com.

Bottom line: if a company cheats and tricks people, stay away from them.
Even if some people were extremely lucky and had pure luck with their order.

That BBB site showing that even the FTC (Fedral Trade Commision) took action against TD says it all. Legally and factually!
