Good/bad idea to work out when you're sick?

I caught a cold in Vegas this past weekend (going from freezing casinos to sweltering outdoor heat repeatedly will do that, apparently) and have been stuffy/sniffly all day today.

Is it a good idea to work out (as I was planning to, tonight), or would it be better for me to stay in and go to bed early?
 
my trainer told me unless you broke something or are throwing up you should go work out. it maybe a little less strenous then usuall but you will still gain some benefit.
