Good article on the Israeli settlements

Why is that a "good" article? Because you agree with it? The settlements are built on land that Israel won in a war (which they did not instigate). Which other country has ever been demanded to return land won in a war? But we've been through this too many times.

Iraq

True, but I think everyone would agree that Iraq was the aggressor. In '67 as you know, Egypt massed on the border (along with Jordan and Syria on their respective borders). The UN, which had previously provided some kind of buffer zone, withdrew because Sadat asked them to. Israel was going to be attacked, so they launched a strike first. I'm not trying to give you a history lesson, as I'm sure you know all this, just trying to point out the difference between Iraq's war and Israel's.

That's right. however, they are intertwined. The settlements are on land won in the war. Why the Palestinians have any claim to land that they lost in a war that they started is beyond me. For example, if you have one kid who thinks he can run faster than another kid, so he challenges him to a race. The challenger loses, but then he comes whining for the prize. Would that make any sense? Maybe it's not a good example, but it illustrates my point.

The Egyptians, the Jordanians, and the Syrians started the war.

Im aware of that. The Palestinians of today are mostly made up of Jordanians (or their children) and some Egyptians and Syrians thrown in. We've beat this stuff to death already.

So we should give the kid that lost his prize because he threatens us otherwise? Or should we beat the living hell out of him untill he eventually realizes that he aint gonna win that way.

showing that violence will get them what they want won't bring peace either.

Yeah, what the hell is more Israeli and Palestineans lives worth anyway? Let them continue to slaughter each other

It brought peace to the (newly founded)United States of America after the Revolutionary War. It brought Peace to Vietnam after the North,South, US Conflict. In fact many a peace was won with violence. Your statement is ignorant at best

There will NEVER be peace fullstop. There won't be peace if the settlements remain, there won't be peace if terrorism successfully achieves the removal of the settlements (lets not pretend it will stop there).

So, knowing that there can never be peaceful resolution, one side needs to be COMPLETELY crushed.

May the best man, or the man with the best armed friends, win.
