Well, there were a few things I disagree with in this article. $500 for a video card really isn't a rediculous price since there seems to be people out there willing to pay for it. But for most of us here, it's probably out of reach so we claim it's an outrageous price. I know if we could all afford it, we would all have GF2 Ultras. Does anyone remember people paying $600 for dual Voodoo2 setups? We all wanted one, but most of us couldn't afford it. I didn't hear anyone complaining it was an outrageous price back then. There's always gonna be high end equipment at a high end price. And it's not always gonna give the best performance to price ratio. Also, the thing he mentions about how companies should make better games rather than pushing technologies. I disagree with that completely. The current games using the newer technologies might not be as great, but it's like any new technology... It needs to grow up. And in time, we'll have the next great game that uses the "old technology" like HalfLife and will no doubt be heck of alot better than that. But I do agree that alot of us here are basically buying more FPS. hehehe... I know I did.
